Visited 04/12/24. The food was impressive and surprisingly above my expectations. This was recommended to me from Anita from Gucci in Selfridges. I wasn't expecting it to be any good given the names of the food on the menu & the price tag but it was impressive and I would go again. The only thing to watch for is it has double the price tag of food you could get elsewhere, the curry's are 20-25 and the biryani was 27. The rice was a large portion but the curry was standard. I definitely recommend it if you are able to afford this, as I found it delicious. Service - was good, room for improvement here. But no issues. Toilets - Smelt a little. Food - Exceptional taste. Price - Overley expensive. But worth it if you need a taste bud tingle. Deco - some good things to take pics off, place had a more darkened presentation. We came in from the rain and the floor was slightly slippy, so be careful! Get the mixed basket of breads, it will be cheaper.

Went for an early dinner on a Friday night. The place has a really traditional feel to it, a nice change from a lot of modern, glossy, neon lit restaurants. The dining area is comfortable with a mix of cosy booths and bigger tables the subtle lighting adds to the traditional atmosphere. The Service was faultless and although it was busy, we were never rushed, the staff were friendly and engaging but not intrusive. The food was second to none, we shared the 'Garden Platter' vegetarian starters, the menu suggests 2 to 3 people to share, and I'd agree. Everything on the platter delighted, from the samosa to the mushrooms many different flavours that compliment each other perfectly. I'd highly recommend this platter. We decided to share a main (methi murgh) , rice and naan (the platter was huge) again the food was faultless. I would highly recommended Itihaas to anyone who enjoys real indian food in traditional (beautiful) surroundings, we'll worth checking out! Had another meal here Jan 2025, once again superb, my colleague suggested it may have been the best indian meal he had ever had, and I'd be inclined to agree, the Safari Platter, Lamb Rogan, Rice and Naan were all amazing!! Highly recommended

We visited Ithihaas with normal expectations but were absolutely blown away by the quality, taste, and service. Thali dishes can sometimes be hit or miss, but here, every single item was exceptional! We also tried the Himalayan Fire Ribs, and they were simply Top Notch! A special shoutout to Jasi, Lavesh, and Asma for their outstanding service – they made our dining experience even better. The trip from Gloucester to Birmingham was absolutely worth it, and we’ll definitely be coming back again! Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic flavors and great hospitality.

I visited there last week, and we got a table without a reservation. We had a lovely time there, even though the tables were close to each other, the atmosphere was good inside, the service by the staff was exceptional, the food was good, especially the chaats we had as a starter. You will find street parking nearby and need to pay for it until 1800hrs

Itihaas offers a diverse array of options, from its tantalizing platters to its refreshing non-alcoholic beverages. Unlimited servings cater to hearty appetites, ensuring no guest leaves unsatisfied. However, despite the tempting spread, service falls short, with extended wait times for additional servings even during quieter periods. The quality of chai disappoints, lacking the richness expected. Additionally, the inconvenience of restroom facilities being situated on the ground floor detracts from the overall dining experience.

Amazing food & Service! We had one of best Indian food in the UK, here at Itihaas. We went there as a group of 4 and ordered vegetarian food. A couple of starters- Tandoori Soya tikka- well marinated and full of flavour. And Hariyali Paneer tikka- This was also amazing. Main Course- Daal Makhani & Soya Tikka masala, Rice and breads. Everything was amazing! Felt like I’m having food in Delhi. Very good balanced North Indian food.
